Ákos Sziráki ist ein Kosmopolit, er trägt mehrere Länder in sich, mehrere Sprachen und eine vielfältige, komplexe Erfahrungswelt. Seine Biographie lässt diesen manchmal steinernen, aber immer spannenden Weg erahnen, den er gehen musste, der ihn aber spürbar vorteilhaft formte. Sein Werk ist eigen und allgemein.  Gesetzmäßigkeiten unterwirft er sich nicht, seine Ausdrucksform wird durch innere geltende Gesetze geformt. Die Skulpturen, die jedem Raum virulente Lebendigkeit verleihen, sind unverkennbare Mutationen zwischen Menschen, Steinen und unbekannten, ungeborenen Organismen, die sich nach eigenen Regeln und Wachstumsvorgängen entwickeln zu scheinen. Nur das schonungslose Öffnen dieser verborgenen Welt ermöglicht, trotz der Gefahr der Verletzbarkeit oder des Verkennens,  erkannt, oder sogar anerkannt zu werden.

Durch diesen Prozess macht er uns nachvollziehbar, in die seelische Tiefe mittels einer dezimierten Figur eintauchen zu können, animiert uns durch erstarrte Skulpturen atmen zu lernen, er kann uns sogar den Schatten der Wärme und der Kälte vor Augen führen.

Ákos Sziráki is cosmopolitan- a composite of many cultures, languages and a complex world of experience. From his biography one senses the at times stony, but always interesting, path his life has taken and how it has positively shaped him. His work is unique and universal. He doesn't seek legitimacy through conformity, rather his form of expression is driven by inner law. Through consistent minimalization of his palette the figures on his canvas achieve a third dimension. Close observation of his paintings reveals a remarkable color sensibility. In an apparently monochrome surface a self-created blue simultaneously takes on hues of green, yellow, white or black.

The figures that inhabit his paintings and the sculptures that lend an infectious liveliness to every room are unmistakably mutations of people, stones, and unknown, yet to be born organisms which have a lifecycle entirely of their own. Only the relentless exploration of this hidden world, without regard to risk of injury or misjudgement, opens the possibility of perception and realization. Through this process he leads us to understand how to dive into the depths of the soul by means of a decimated painting, animates us through compacted sculpture to learn to breath, and brings us to sense the shadows of warmth and coldness.
